India is now the 5th largest country by population in Facebook. There are around 24 million people using Facebook from the South Asian Nation. The nation’s recent progress is not limited to Facebook population but also in LinkedIn (now has 9 M) and Twitter (with popln 9M).
The recent study by Nielson India shows that 240 million Indians use Internet in Mobiles, where total Mobile population is 450 M. The total online population (not including Mobile) is 80M among which one third are in at least one Social Network. The figure is amazing, and more fascinating is the growth rate at which these transformations are happening. In next 3 years, India is expected to grow 36 times.
